The Foundation raises funds for three main areas:
Clinical research seeks to answer questions about the causes of diseases and improve health outcomes.
Many research projects support the work of our dedicated staff and help us improve our health programs and direct care.
Our research is undertaken in conjunction with multiple leading universities. Mercy Health currently holds three professorial chairs: Chair of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (The University of Melbourne), Chair of Midwifery (La Trobe University) and the Chair of Community Medicine (Notre Dame University) in addition to multiple Associate Professorial positions.

Our scholarships provide financial assistance to Mercy Health employees who are further developing their professional expertise. This translates directly to improved care.
The Foundation seeks gifts to support this initiative and our Endowment Fund further underpins this important program.
The Foundation invests in unique projects that are identified and developed to meet the special needs of the community. Once completed, these projects and programs foster learning and promote excellence in care.

Professorial Chairs in Maternal Fetal Medicine and Aged Care
Mercy Health is set to establish two new Professorial Chairs in Maternal Fetal Medicine and Aged Care. These positions will provide academic and clinical research skills in these two vital areas of healthcare. Mercy Health Foundation is committed to raising donations to finance these positions.
