About Us

The Foundation raises funds for three main areas:

Clinical Research

Clinical research seeks to answer questions about the causes of diseases and improve health outcomes.

Many research projects support the work of our dedicated staff and help us improve our health programs and direct care.

Our research is undertaken in conjunction with multiple leading universities.

Scholarships

Our scholarships provide financial assistance to Mercy Health employees who are further developing their professional expertise. This translates directly to improved care.

The Foundation seeks gifts to support this initiative and our Endowment Fund further underpins this important program.

Iconic Projects

The Foundation invests in iconic projects that are identified and developed to meet the special needs of the community. Once completed, these projects and programs foster learning and promote excellence in care.

The Foundation thanks and acknowledges every donor because we value each gift.

A donation made after the birth of a baby is often given directly to the maternity ward to help mothers and babies overcome particular challenges.

A donation from a family in memory of a loved one can be used straight away to provide much needed grief counselling services to those in need.

Our latest academic success story was made possible by a donation to our scholarship fund.

Results from our latest clinical research project were published and received critical acclaim from the medical profession and associated peers.

After only two years, the Foundation has accumulated $1 million in its Endowment Fund, provided scholarships for 24 members of staff and secured sufficient donations to build Victoria's first ever Breastmilk Bank.
